Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions

• Create and maintain APIs, rSpec testing suite, and middleware to facilitate data flow between systems

• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve integration issues

• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations during integration processes

• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance to provide an optimal experience

• Design maintainable database schemas and easy-to-understand data structures

• Design technical solutions with little direction or guidance

• Engage in the team’s organizational processes, such as planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews, to ensure effective collaboration and feedback

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Proactively identify and address potential technical issues and bottlenecks

Qualifications: 

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in the following programming languages Ruby with Ruby on Rails, Python, NodeJS

• Experience with SFTP/FTP, File, OAuth2, OIDC, TLS, SSH, etc.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or equivalent databases

• Knowledge of caching

• Familiarity with rSpec testing framework

• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration and knowledge of Postman

• Be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with Linux environments and Docker in general

• Strong communication ability to describe complex problems and solutions

Complimentary skills: 

• Experience developing with ReactJS

• Experience with NewRelic

• Experience with AWS infrastructure

• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

• Experience within fintech/startup realm is desirable
